Set up your Dretsa server
This package is intended for technical testing. It includes source code and preparation tools, not a ready-to-run Docker image. Full Windows and Linux qualification is still pending. To explore the app, request access to the iPhone beta.
1. Prepare your environment
- Windows with Docker Desktop using Linux containers, or Linux with Docker Engine and Compose v2. Windows Server requires a suitable Linux environment.
- Python 3.12 for administration tools.
- An HTTPS address reachable from your iPhone, with its certificate and private key. The certificate must be valid, trusted by iOS and match your chosen hostname.
- A base image and dependencies prepared for an offline build. Read
README.md,offline_build.pyandwheelhouse/README.txtin the archive first.
The package does not download these prerequisites or automatically configure your router, firewall or certificates. The detailed included documentation is currently in French.
2. Verify and extract the package
Download the ZIP and compare its checksum with the SHA-256 file. Extract it to a new folder without replacing an existing installation.

3. Prepare the image, then run setup
Follow the included README.md to prepare the image and dependencies. The offline build refuses to continue when required files are missing. Once these prerequisites are ready, install the QR generator and run the assistant:

The assistant asks for your address, certificate, email and a new password. It creates your local account and a connexion-iphone.html card containing your address and QR code. The doctor command checks HTTPS connectivity and the services.
4. Connect your iPhone
In Dretsa, select Connecter mon serveur, then Scanner le code QR du serveur. Check the address and sign in with the credentials you just created. The QR contains only the address and connection type.
Remote access with Tailscale
Install Tailscale on the server and iPhone, and authorise both devices on your private network. See TAILSCALE.md in the archive. The VPN does not replace the HTTPS certificate, and the server must stay on. The connection card distinguishes a saved address from a server verified as reachable.
What the current package includes
Accounts, calendar, tasks, contacts, files, search and action history. The portable profile disables AI processing, email imports, notifications and automation that depend on the complete personal installation. Members of one household share household data; use separate installations for independent households.
Backups and updates
Use the documented backup and restore commands. Keep an off-machine backup and test restoration in an isolated environment. Do not replace a running installation with a new archive’s contents.
